About the Role
At Mattel, we're on a mission to empower the next generation to explore the wonder of childhood and reach their full potential. As a Global Security Risk Manager for LATAM, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our personnel, assets, and reputation across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective security controls to mitigate risks and threats in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Brazil.
- Provide strategic direction and advisory services to ensure compliance with global security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive security standardization across Mattel sites in LATAM and relevant warehouse and manufacturing facilities.
- Lead incident/crisis management efforts, including conducting investigations into security incidents and providing timely responses to crisis situations.
- Develop and administer training and awareness programs to enhance security knowledge and skills among employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., security management, criminology) or equivalent experience.
- Native or fluent Spanish language proficiency with English as a second language.
- A minimum of 8 years' progressive work experience in corporate/private sector security and investigations management functions, including 3-5 years in Latin America.
- Five years' experience supporting corporate security, investigations, executive protection, and asset protection, particularly in LATAM.
- Strong understanding of security operations, security procedures, electronic security systems, and supply chain security standards (AEO, C-TPAT, TAPA TSR & FSR).
- Critical-thinking skills, problem-solving ability, and interpersonal skills to manage and develop teams effectively.
