We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our team at Zillow. As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading the delivery and ongoing support of projects from end to end. You will contribute to the design of new features, review the code of your peers, advocate for standard methodologies, facilitate engineering discussions, mentor junior engineers, and participate in an inclusive, energetic, and highly multi-functional team.
This role has been categorized as a teleworker position, allowing you to work from a physical location of your choice. You will be part of a team that is passionate about establishing standard methodologies, elevating systems design, enhancing code quality, and ensuring maintainability.

- Over 5 years of software development experience, specializing in Java for backend services
- Respected technical leader with a significant impact beyond their immediate team
- Expertise in various persistence strategies, encompassing relational and non-relational databases
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, both written and spoken, and authorized to work in Mexico
- Mastery across multiple modern Java development technologies, adept at designing, delivering, debugging, and maintaining backend systems
- Proficiency in related technologies such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Microservices architecture
