About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Amazon Expansion Team in Mexico. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and reliable software systems that enable Amazon's retail expansion in Latin America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop highly available Tier-1 services that support Amazon's retail expansion in Latin America
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code that meets Amazon's technical standards
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of software systems
About the Team

The Amazon Expansion Team in Mexico is a small group of experienced Amazonians who tackle complex and ambiguous problems every day. We prioritize knowledge sharing and mentorship, and we're committed to creating an inclusive and diverse work environment.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
