We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Amazon International Expansion team in Mexico. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and highly available software systems that enable exciting new features and experiences for our customers in Latin America.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop real-time scalable systems that process hundreds of billions of requests daily
- Own and lead the investigation and architecture for expanding Amazon Retail features to LatAm
- Optimize or automate features, or build relevant tooling
- Write code for features and coordinate with engineers from other teams to deploy code in production
- Develop and review code, create design reviews, and participate in operational reviews
The Amazon International Expansion team in Mexico is a small group of experienced Amazonians who tackle complex and ambiguous problems every day. We keep our on-call load low, so we can focus on solving bigger picture problems. We are a social group and generally organize a team event at least once per month.

Requirements- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
