**Job Summary**

This position will support the US Trade Compliance Import team in gathering data for imports and exports, primarily for Mexico. As a member of the global logistics team, success in this role requires experience in USA and Mexico Customs operations, effective communication, and data gathering.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Verify accurate Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification is used by customs brokers.

• Ensure material descriptions for imports are complete and accurate.

• Check shipment value matches SAP Purchase Order (PO) value.

• Respond to carrier requirements (DHL, FedEx, UPS) within two hours.

• Provide backup documents and information to sites and users.

• Assist logistics coordinators in clearing urgent shipments.

• Verify documents sent by forwarders and request arrival notifications on time.

• Gather information on raw materials and finished goods for HTS classification.

• Obtain correct information from PO or Product Name for clearance purposes.

• Verify terms of sale (Inco term) used on each shipment request.

• Verify country of origin on commercial invoices is correct.

• Ensure all required information matches our requirements (Bill to address, Ship to address, PO, PN, unit value, total value).

• Comply with other US government agencies (OGA) regulations.

• Perform ISF verification.

• Manage operations in Mexico (GDL, CUU, TJ, Juarez).

• Request information for FDA and TSCA as needed.

**Additional Responsibilities**

• Coordinate hand carries and charters operations.
