We are looking for a talented Senior Cloud Technical Specialist to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As a Senior Cloud Technical Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure using AWS and Azure.
Your key responsibilities will include building and updating tooling to deploy, upgrade, monitor, and maintain infrastructure hosted in the cloud. You will also design and implement automated solutions for cloud-based infrastructure and develop or modify scripts and code to automate tasks and meet business requirements.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell, including respective testing modules. You will also need to have exposure to and understanding of cloud ecosystems such as AWS or Azure, including knowledge of their respective APIs for provisioning and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automated solutions for cloud-based infrastructure.
- Develop or modify scripts and code to automate tasks and meet business requirements.
- Build and update tooling to deploy, upgrade, monitor, and maintain infrastructure hosted in the cloud.
- Collaborate with team members in a multi-office, multi-time zone environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of industry experience in an engineering role.
- A degree specializing in Computer Science, Technology, MIS, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or similar.
- Experience in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell, including respective testing modules.
- Exposure to and understanding of cloud ecosystems such as AWS or Azure, including knowledge of their respective APIs for provisioning and monitoring.
- Experience working with Agile work environments, including knowledge of Azure DevOps, GIT, and CI/CD.
