As a Biomedical Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, adjusting, calibrating, and repairing a wide variety of electronic, electromechanical, and hydraulic equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and maintain medical equipment to ensure it is clean, safe, and functioning properly.
- Repair and replace defective parts, and adjust precision components.
- Perform routine scheduled maintenance to ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- Perform safety checks and train practitioners to safely operate equipment.
- Document trouble and other reports, the work performed, and any system or configurations changes.
- Attend and participate in meetings and task force groups to improve quality and outcomes.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician.
- Biomedical Equipment Technology or Engineering training program leading to a diploma, certificate, or an associate degree.
- Ability to work both independently and to work positively within a team environment maintaining professionalism.
- Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required.
- Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements.
Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. May require bending, stooping, and lifting as required for patient care and transport.
