Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Purchasing Manager to join our Global Real Estate team in North America. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing, negotiating, and executing tenders, including negotiating and concluding contracts for New Construction and Facility Management Services, as well as Engineering and Architectural contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies in conjunction with strategic procurement methods to create the highest possible competition and secure results.
- Classify Suppliers and their strategic development to achieve maximal supplier performance.
- Ensure the timely procurement of required services.
- Work cross-functionally within the Global Real Estate (GR) service area for the North American region and beyond.
- Review and negotiate contract supplements.
- Manage contract performance, including contract and performance disputes (construction contracting).
Requirements
- Completed studies in architecture, civil engineering, industrial engineering, business management, or equivalent.
- Sound knowledge of international construction industry and contract law.
- Experience in strategic purchasing, negotiation within construction market, or project management experience within construction industry.
- High level of ability for independent work, self-management, agility, flexibility, and keen on motivating others.
- Fluently spoken and written English as well as Spanish.
- Open to traveling as required by projects, primarily in North America.
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of RB Guidelines and regulations.
- Knowledge of PUR Guidelines and regulations.
- Training in GR/PUR in Germany.
