Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Services Procurement and System Integration Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for curating an ecosystem of suppliers, leading contract negotiations, and managing IT hardware, software, and professional services procurement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supplier Ecosystem Management
  • Identify potential partners and technology solutions through extensive market research, focusing on innovations that boost efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare and pre-qualify partner nominations and vetting requests.
  • Maintain and assess coverage and skills required by business and shape vendor ecosystem accordingly.
Contract Negotiation and Procurement
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage IT hardware, software, and professional services procurement, ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructures.
Supplier Performance Management
  • Evaluate supplier performance and manage relationship to ensure quality, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency.
Procurement Process Management
  • Oversee the procurement process from vendor evaluation to onboarding, ensuring compliance with Lenovo's standards.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to implement integrated solutions that fulfill business goals and financial criteria.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the smooth flow of procurement process.
Procurement Policy and Procedure Development
  • Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures to streamline operations.
Industry Knowledge and Staying Current
  • Stay informed of industry developments, with a particular focus on hyperscale data centers, digital workspace solutions, AI, and generative AI technologies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field, or significant experience in IT systems implementation.
  • Minimum of 7 years in IT Systems Integration, with at least 3 years in IT consulting, business systems analysis, or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT procurement, contract negotiations, and vendor management.
  • Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud environments, cloud migration projects, hyperscale data center operations, IT hardware upsell offerings, and digital workspace solutions.
  • Familiarity or passion in keeping up with generative AI technologies.
  • Exceptional contract negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge in designing partner working scoping and cost framework model.
  • Knowledge in partner management methods.
  • Commercial Legal background is a plus.
  • Language proficiency in English required.
Location

This role is based in Monterrey or Mexico City, with additional locations in Mexico.
