Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant - Industry Expert to join our team in Mexico. As a key member of our industry consulting team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level consulting services to clients, driving business growth, and delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and drive support resolution with engineering teams.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for support issues from FICC Boltweb.
  • Help define and improve runtime while enhancing Boltweb support platform and Application.
  • Become a Support SME and help improve service elasticity, resiliency, and recovery times.
  • Improve SDLC / Continuous Delivery OKRs such as increasing release cadence and reducing incident rates.
  • Create documentation and code snippets to share with internal engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or equivalent) and 3+ years of software development experience.
  • Comfortable coding in Java or similar programming language, debugging, writing quality-of-life snippets, writing scripts for debugging and updates, and familiarity with Linux bash scripting.
  • Clear, empathetic communicator.
  • Willing to execute on support issues while also building out the function and automating repeat issues.
  • Ability to identify corner cases, add validations, and demonstrate problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of standard support ticketing, prioritization, and SDLC processes and tools (e.g., Gitlab, incident management, Jira).

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience with configuring monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, PagerDuty).
  • Experience with configuring service mesh solutions/grids (e.g., Itsio).
  • Experience with Kubernetes networking configuration (e.g., Contour / Envoy).
  • Experience with infra as code (e.g., Terraform / Kustomize).
  • Exposure to large-scale SOA Java deployment, especially micro-services.
  • Exposure to Kafka, Elastic Search.
  • Experience in Continuous Delivery / DevOps / agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and dashboard tools like Grafana/Kibana.
  • Experience in Docker-based services running in a cloud environment.
