**Job Summary**

As a key member of the AMETEK team, the Buyer/Planner will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage the production schedule, prioritize tasks, and communicate with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of production schedules, material requirements, and staffing needs to ensure efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Material Control, and Production staff to adjust schedules and prioritize activities in response to changes in customer demand, machine availability, material supply, or staffing.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to stakeholders on production schedules, lead times, and potential bottlenecks.
  • Enter Purchase Orders received from Sales into the production schedule and coordinate with Engineering and Supervisors to allocate machine time and trained operator time.
  • Ensure that all necessary documents and materials are available and easily accessible for production, packaging, and shipping.
  • Prepare and submit reports on PO status and performance.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration).
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a procurement or planning role.
  • Advanced English language skills.
  • Proficiency in MS-Office and Excel XP or later.
  • APICS training (plus) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, including ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
  • Proven planning experience in areas such as MPS generation, production line scheduling, forecasting, demand tracking, and inventory control for JIT and SS customers.
