Job Summary

This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing the consolidation and by-title reporting process as well as the ultimate process and film cost accounting process for Warner Bros. and Max titles according to Film Accounting Standards ASC 926.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the consolidation and by-title reporting process, including review and analysis of financial data and communication with business units for updates;
  • Perform film cost accounting calculations for all planning cycles and analyze the impact of ultimate changes on quarterly and annual gross profit results;
  • Review and analyze ultimate submissions for all cycles (budget, forecast, and actuals) from multiple business units in preparation for costing of product;
  • Determine appropriate film cost calculation during the planning cycles to ensure accurate amortization, participation, and residual expense computation;
  • Prepare and/or approve planning journal entries for any adjustments needed to ultimate costing;
  • Oversee the preparation of specific By-Title Ultimate Profit & Loss statements as necessary and present to management and various business units;
  • Communicate procedures to be followed by Business Units that provide Ultimate data;
  • Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reporting to department and Senior Management personnel;
  • Manage key stakeholder engagement with Sr. Management in WB Studios, Networks, HBO, and Max.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and logic skills, including ability to grasp the big picture while maintaining strong detail orientations;
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel required (creating spreadsheets, pivot tables, v-lookups, macros); SAP BW/BPS experience preferred;
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP) and financial statements;
  • Effective communicator at all levels of the organization, with ability to influence others and negotiate outcomes;
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization;
  • Strong problem resolution skills, and high degree of integrity, tact, and diplomacy;
  • Minimum 10+ years' related professional experience, with at least 8 years' in a management position;
  • Previous experience in entertainment industry/public accounting preferred;
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or related field required.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $150,000 - $200,000 per annum, based on experience, plus additional benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
