About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to lead our LATAM cluster. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning and analysis, controllership, accounting, tax, treasury, accounts payable/receivable, procurement, and sales audit functions for the cluster.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities, including annual budgeting and quarterly forecasts for revenue, margin, and operating expenses.
  • Be a trusted business partner to the VP and General Manager, LATAM, and to key stakeholders (internal and external) meeting regularly to review current period results and to gather information for forecast updates.
  • Co-Lead accounting close process for Mexico (US GAAP and Local Statutory), consistent with required corporate and fiscal deadlines, ensuring accounting principles and global finance policies are followed (SOX, US GAAP, Local GAAP).
  • Drive the financial strategy for LATAM for the long term, including 2025 Vision and Strategic Business Plan (SBP) including special projects and organic acquisition initiatives in LATAM.
  • Lead the financial portion of Monthly Business Review (MBR), and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and participate in the regular meeting cadence with LATAM leadership.
  • Lead the financial portion of the inventory planning/purchasing processes and integration with financial budgeting (preparation of the open-to-buy budgets) for Mexico and consolidate LATAM vision.
  • Lead direct day-to-day oversight of the retail and wholesale business including evaluation of store performance (KPI's and P&Ls) and capital investments, in order to make strategic decisions about best use of cash.
  • Develop business cases for all capital investments in the cluster, including new stores, distribution center investments, systems and new channel development, to maximize ROI and working capital.
  • Lead key day-to-day business decision support with local management including but not limited to decisions on pricing, promotion, credit terms for wholesale accounts, inventory purchasing, etc for all channels and brands in Mexico.
  • Lead working capital management activities including cash flow forecasting, trade receivable terms and collection efforts, inventory management, and treasury management, in order to maximize cash flow and improving cash conversion cycle.
  • Lead elements of local compliance in regards of trade investment (Pricing and Dilution) and other related SOX, global controls and audits requirements.
  • Work with local and global IT teams to implement and configure systems and processes to streamline finance processes, integrate with LS&Co systems and ways of working.
  • Manage SG&A, OPEX and CAPEX investment and drive long term optimization, including A&P ROI measures, BE profitability indicators.
  • Lead the finance team in cluster with direct reporting relationships as determined. Make strategic decisions around optimal organizational structure of team to ensure productivity and efficiencies, aligned with global objectives.
  • Lead accounting close process in all 3 countries (US GAAP and Local Statutory), consistent with required corporate and fiscal deadlines, ensuring accounting principles and global finance policies are followed (SOX, US GAAP, Local GAAP).
  • Lead all elements of local compliance (e.g. income tax, sales tax and statutory filings) in coordination with a Global Tax organization.
  • Serve as legal representative for Mexico legal entities.
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Finance Director with a strong background in financial planning and analysis, controllership, accounting, tax, treasury, accounts payable/receivable, procurement, and sales audit functions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading finance teams and driving financial strategy in a multinational company.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Actuarial Science, Economics, or equivalent experience. An MBA is preferred. The candidate will have at least 12 years of progressive Finance and Accounting experience, mainly in FP&A roles, and experience working in a multinational company with a matrix organizational structure.

The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills and experience with Oracle/Hyperion financial applications (e.g. Essbase and HFM) and SAP. Proven experience managing dual ledger (US GAAP and Local Ledger) for accounting purposes and managing and coaching large teams (at least 5 direct reports, 10-12 indirect reports) is also required.

The candidate will have experience with CAPEX forecasting and planning, which includes operations, cash flow, and financial accounting. Full Market P&L ownership is desirable. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, multiple locations simultaneously, and deliver high-quality results is essential.

Experience working with financial outsourced service centers offshore and mergers and acquisition business transactions is preferred. Retail experience is also desirable. Strong business partnering evidence, working with multifunctional teams, especially Commercial partners like Sales, Merchandising, Planning, and Marketing, is required.

The location for this role is Mexico, D.F., Mexico. The position is full-time.
