Job Title: Costing Analyst

Overview:

In this position, you will play a crucial role in enhancing cost management practices, influencing pivotal business decisions, and contributing to global success as part of Momentive Business Services. Your responsibilities will include delivering consistent, high-quality insights to stakeholders across various departments, while examining key factors related to operational efficiency. You will ensure the timely and precise flow of reporting to control functions and maintain strong collaborative relationships, providing essential support to Sector Operations Finance Leaders.

This role is part of our Global Finance Shared Services Team, which provides a comprehensive array of finance support services, including Controllership, Business & Operations, Corporate FP&A, Treasury, Credit & Collections, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

Standard Cost Management: Develop, maintain, and enhance standard cost models to ensure precision and efficiency in cost calculations across various manufacturing operations. Conduct thorough testing and report & analyze results during Actual Costing Implementation projects. Actual Cost Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of actual costs, investigating discrepancies and variances to offer actionable insights for cost optimization strategies. Variance Analysis: Execute comprehensive variance analysis, identifying key drivers and collaborating with stakeholders to implement necessary corrective actions. Query Resolution & Discrepancy Management: Address and resolve cost-related queries, variances between Standard & Actual costs, and other discrepancies promptly, ensuring accurate financial reporting. Multi-Plant Coordination: Collaborate with teams across multiple plants to gather data, harmonize cost accounting practices, and streamline reporting processes. Collaboration & Engagement: Partner closely with business, commercial, and product managers, providing valuable cost insights and fostering collaborative decision-making. Assist in Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End Closing activities.

Qualifications:

Required:

Qualified Cost Accountant with over 4 years of experience in cost accounting, variance analysis, and standard cost management within a manufacturing setting. Proficiency in SAP systems and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. Strong communication abilities to engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels. Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities with meticulous attention to detail.
