Job Title: Costing Analyst
Overview:
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing cost management strategies, influencing critical business choices, and contributing to global achievements as part of Momentive Business Services. Your responsibilities will include delivering reliable, high-quality insights to stakeholders across various sectors, while examining essential factors linked to operational efficiency. You will ensure the prompt and precise flow of reporting to control functions and maintain strong collaborative relationships, providing vital support to Sector Operations Finance Leaders.Momentive Business Services is dedicated to providing outstanding value and assistance to our worldwide operations. Our teams are committed to nurturing a cooperative and innovative atmosphere that promotes success and operational excellence.
This role is situated within our Global Shared Services framework, where you will be an essential member of the Global Finance Shared Services Team, which offers a comprehensive suite of financial support services, including Controllership, Business & Operations, Corporate FP&A, Treasury, Credit & Collections, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Standard Cost Management: Create, maintain, and continually enhance standard cost models to guarantee precision and efficiency in cost assessments across varied manufacturing operations. Conduct thorough testing and report & analyze outcomes during Actual Costing Implementation projects. Actual Cost Analysis: Execute in-depth evaluations of actual costs, probing discrepancies and variances to provide actionable insights for cost optimization strategies. Variance Analysis: Perform comprehensive variance assessments, identifying key drivers and collaborating with stakeholders to implement necessary corrective measures. Query Resolution & Discrepancy Management: Address and resolve cost-related inquiries, variances between Standard & Actual costs, and other discrepancies promptly, ensuring accurate financial reporting. Multi-Plant Coordination: Collaborate with teams across multiple facilities to collect data, standardize cost accounting practices, and streamline reporting processes. Collaboration & Engagement: Partner closely with business, commercial, and product managers, offering valuable cost insights and fostering collaborative decision-making. Assist in Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End Closing activities.Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Qualified Cost Accountant with over 4 years of experience in cost accounting, variance analysis, and standard cost management within a manufacturing context. Proficient in SAP systems and advanced Excel capabilities for data analysis and reporting. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at various levels. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities with meticulous attention to detail.What We Offer:
