About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our Robotics Software Development Team in Guadalajara, Mexico. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining test automation platforms for robotics solutions in the field of industrial automation.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and tools to ensure high-quality software and hardware platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance engineers, to gather requirements and develop test automation strategies.
- Design and implement automated testing processes to ensure compliance with secure SDLC processes.
- Establish and maintain a set of test suites (regression, integration, performance/load, security) for multiple applications that can run in a CI/CD environment, across various devices and environments.
- Work with product teams to understand how new features should be tested and engage them in contributing to automated tests.
- Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience and represent Omron in a professional, ethical, and socially responsible manner.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
- 3+ years of experience in test automation, with a variety of tools and automation platforms.
- Experience with Continuous Integration systems (Jenkins).
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the Scrum development process.
- Experience with real-time operating systems.
- Experience in motion and robotics.
- Experience using tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket.
