We are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineering Manager to join our team at Flex, a leading global manufacturer of innovative products. Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate electronic engineering activities, including the development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required for testing and test control.
- Determine the conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequence and phase test operations.
- Interface and confer with scientific, engineering, and technical personnel to resolve testing problems, such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation, or coding issues.
- Analyze and interpret test data and prepare technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering and management personnel.
- Develop or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software.
- Train and instruct floor support, test technicians, and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem-solving techniques.
- Resolve test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures, and monitoring improvements.
- Coordinate all activities and all testers during each testing phase of a project or program.
- Maintain awareness of testing alternatives at a level where they can be analyzed and the most effective testing strategy selected and agreed.
- Assess and advise on the practicality of testing process alternatives.
- Identify improvements to the process and assist in their implementation.
- Ensure that any risks associated with the agreed test strategy and the system test plan are clearly documented and described to clients/users and colleagues.
- Manage all risks associated with the testing and take preventative action when any risks become unacceptable.
- Plan, arrange, and control meetings, workshops, and relations with client/user staff during test planning and throughout subsequent development and testing activities.
- BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience.
- Fluent English.
- Experience in a similar position in the electronics manufacturing industry or Telecom.
- Previous experience in AXI, AOI & ICT.
- Strong testing experience, especially in the areas of diagnostics and repair.
- Demonstrates functional, technical, and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
- Demonstrates expertise in multiple areas and industry.
- Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries, or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.
- Must have a good knowledge of employment law and company practices, with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or styles.
- Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
