Compliance Policy Governance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Policy Governance Specialist to join our team at HSBC. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering policy changes and procedure updates, managing policy dispensations, and reporting on CAP160 requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review and maintain Compliance Policy Governance procedures
  • Maintenance of Compliance Website
  • Annual review of Data Retention Requirements (DRRS)
  • Prepare and share daily, weekly, monthly Management Reports
  • Perform periodic Quality check on open/completed/assigned tasks and share the report with the business.
  • Help identify and share best practice in a Compliance space
  • Cultivate a positive and collaborative working environment with the Compliance function
  • Build and maintain close working relationship with partners in Regulatory Compliance or elsewhere and should be able to work and co-ordinate with remote sites
  • Communicate effectively to different audiences, including both Regulatory Compliance and any other internal customers
  • Develop and maintain a current knowledge of internal and external Data Governance initiatives and best practices. Develop general awareness of Compliance Regulatory changes affecting the function
  • Pro-actively assist management in identifying and containing compliance risk, monitoring, reporting and fostering a positive Compliance culture

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years' experience in roles within a Risk / Compliance / Regulatory framework
  • Good command of both verbal and written English
  • Ability to understand and interpret Regulations
  • Attention to details and good analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to build and maintain relationships
  • Utilizes own initiative to resolve issues. Ability to support decisions with sound reasoning.
  • Experience and Understanding of US regulatory structure is an added advantage.
