Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Manager Contract Manufacturing to join our team at Carrier Global Corporation. As a key member of our contract manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for managing the flow of materials required for our manufacturing processes outsourced to contract manufacturers.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring timely procurement, effective inventory management, and seamless coordination with our contract manufacturers. You will execute operational plans, store and ship products, respond to complex inquiries, and ensure the quality of work. You will also develop inventory control reports and manuals, work with the Stand-up Delivery Assurance Organization, and oversee the entire Supply Chain workstream.

This is a critical role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience leading teams and managing complex projects. Key Responsibilities
  • Material Procurement: Develop and execute material procurement strategies for contract manufacturing, ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules and minimizing downtime.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure the availability of materials while minimizing excess and obsolete stock, implement inventory control processes and systems to maintain accuracy and efficiency, and conduct regular audits and reconciliations of inventory records.
  • Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with contract manufacturers to understand their material needs and constraints, manage supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost, coordinate material requirements and delivery schedules with contract manufacturing partners, and develop and implement strategies for optimizing material flow and reducing transportation costs.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in material management and procurement, implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on material management performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as Production, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to align material management strategies with overall business objectives, provide support and guidance to internal stakeholders on material-related issues and requirements, and maintain accurate records of material transactions, supplier agreements, and inventory levels.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in materials management, procurement, or supply chain roles within a contract manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in SAP-BPCS (AS400).
  • Power BI/Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience leading teams and managing complex projects.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
