About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Architect to join our team at Ll Oefentherapie. As a key member of our Oracle Retail Science R&D group, you will work closely with data scientists, software developers, and QA teams to build data-driven applications that solve retail business problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Complex SQL and PL/SQL Code: Implement analytics algorithms and support UI development to drive business insights and decision-making.
  • Design and Implement Data Models: Create scalable and performing solutions with large data volumes, ensuring data integrity and quality.
  • Work with Oracle Data Integrator: Manage and maintain data integrations in the database, ensuring seamless data flow and minimizing data latency.
  • Identify and Address Data Issues: Analyze and resolve application data issues that affect application integrity, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
  • Ensure Database Design Meets Requirements: Design databases that fulfill functional and technical requirements, including design-for-performance, to ensure optimal database performance.
  • Analyze and Ensure Efficient Transition: Review technical design documents to ensure efficient transition of all technical design documents, ensuring seamless handover and knowledge transfer.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work effectively with tech leads, scientists, and data science developers to create and maintain the overall data architecture, priorities, and success measures for the enterprise.
  • Review Deliverables for Quality and Adherence: Review deliverables throughout development to ensure quality, traceability to requirements, and adherence to all quality management plans and standards.
Qualifications
  • Strong Software Development Experience: Proven experience in software development, with a strong understanding of software development principles and practices.
  • Strong Knowledge of Data Warehouse Modeling and ETL Design: Experience with data warehouse modeling and ETL design, including knowledge of ETL tools and technologies.
  • Strong Knowledge of PL/SQL Programming: Hands-on experience with PL/SQL programming, including creating packages, functions, stored procedures, and views.
  • Strong Knowledge of Complex SQL Queries: Ability to write complex SQL queries to extract insights from large datasets.
  • Knowledge of Unix/Shell Scripting: Experience with Unix/Shell scripting, including knowledge of shell scripting languages and tools.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix Operating System: Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems, including knowledge of system administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Building Images for Docker/Kubernetes: Experience with building images for use with Docker/Kubernetes, including knowledge of containerization and orchestration.
  • Experience with Creating Scalable and Performing Solutions: Experience with creating scalable and performing solutions with large data volumes, including knowledge of database design and optimization.
  • Good Analytical Skills and Understanding of Data Science Concepts: Strong analytical skills and understanding of basic concepts in data science, including knowledge of data mining and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with ODI and OBIEE: Experience with Oracle Data Integrator and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition, including knowledge of data integration and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with Oracle Data Visualizer: Experience with Oracle Data Visualizer, including knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Ability to Balance and Prioritize Multiple Projects: Ability to balance and prioritize multiple concurrent projects effectively, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
