The Product Security division is composed of dedicated professionals who excel in collaborative security initiatives. The primary objective of our Software Security (DevSecOps) team is to facilitate self-service security solutions, driven by our commitment to the principles of DevOps: Rapid Flow, Immediate Feedback, and Continuous Improvement. As we navigate our digital transformation, the DevSecOps team plays a crucial role in promoting and implementing DevOps methodologies throughout the organization, enhancing processes, eliminating obstacles, and enabling safe experimentation.

Key Responsibilities:

We are in search of a talented and experienced Software Security Engineer to enhance our Product Security team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices across the organization, from conception to deployment.

  • Collaborate closely with product development teams to identify and address security vulnerabilities in our software and systems.
  • Establish and uphold security tools and protocols to ensure the integrity of our software development lifecycle.
  • Perform security evaluations and code assessments to uncover vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to security standards and best practices.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to guarantee the timely and successful delivery of secure software solutions.
  • Advocate for and implement Secure SDLC practices in alignment with compliance requirements.
  • Create automated solutions to streamline processes and workflows.
  • Promote the use of automated scanning tools and methodologies throughout the organization.
  • Identify and spearhead initiatives for process enhancement to boost productivity and reduce costs.
  • Develop performance metrics and reporting from consolidated sources to assist Software Security Management in prioritizing remediation efforts.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and long-term vision of the team.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science is preferred; equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.

Experience:

We seek candidates with a minimum of 3 years of experience in software development with a focus on security, including:

  • Proficiency in writing and/or testing software applications; experience with automation is essential.
  • Fundamental understanding of container technologies and cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Familiarity with programming languages including C/C++, Java, .NET, JavaScript, Python, Bash, PowerShell, and/or Ruby.
  • Experience with development tools such as Eclipse, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ, Git, Jira, Jenkins, and/or Docker.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills across diverse groups.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

In addition to the experience requirements, we are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A self-motivated approach with agility in problem-solving.
  • A proven track record in conducting application security assessments, whether through Bug Bounty programs or capture-the-flag events.
  • Experience in mobile application security is advantageous.
  • Active involvement in general information security practices and/or community initiatives.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English.
