Role and Responsibilities

The Cybersecurity Operations Center (SOC) Analyst will be responsible for identifying and responding to information security incidents within Faurecia's SOC team (Level 2/3 SOC).

This role involves close collaboration with the SOC Manager and external partners who typically handle endpoint detection and response tasks.

The analyst will also play a key role in refining documentation and procedures, proposing and implementing necessary technical enhancements to improve the team's responsiveness and efficiency, particularly in the areas of playbook development and automation.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties include:

- Detecting and responding to information security threats across our global corporate infrastructure, including production, development, and data center environments.

- Managing detection rules and fostering continuous improvement across various technologies (SIEM, EDR, NDR, NAC, Azure Cloud, etc.).

- Regularly assessing detection rules through offensive testing to enhance their effectiveness.

- Utilizing necessary technologies to identify and respond to information security threats, particularly our SIEM/EDR and SOAR systems.

- Coordinating with other IT teams to request and follow up on necessary actions.

- Engaging in projects aimed at enhancing our intrusion detection capabilities.

- Contributing to the development and refinement of incident response procedures and remediation workflows, focusing on automation, context, and orchestration as code.

- Assisting in the creation and enhancement of security detection rules within the SIEM.

- Being an integral part of Faurecia's first line of defense, managing active security events and advanced threats from diverse sources, and participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following attributes:

- Proficiency in English is essential.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

- A curious mindset and a passion for cybersecurity.

- Advanced problem-solving abilities.

- A natural inclination to collaborate within multidisciplinary international IT teams.

- Ability to work under pressure, methodological approach, and a service-oriented attitude.

- A relevant university degree in Cyber Security or equivalent hands-on experience.

- Ideally, an understanding of the current threat landscape and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures.

- Familiarity with enterprise-scale security technologies, including SIEM, incident management (MISP), SOAR, threat intelligence, packet capture, protocol analysis/NetFlow usage, network and system monitoring and logging, malware analysis, and firewalling/network filtering.

- Capacity to comprehend, design, and enhance threat detection processes.

- Knowledge of Linux, Windows, and network equipment operations.

- Understanding of cloud technologies and cloud threat protection.

- Awareness of network-oriented cybersecurity technologies.

- Scripting skills would be advantageous.
