Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Global Analytics and Insights organization at Rockwell Automation, responsible for supporting various accounting, planning, forecasting, and reporting processes and analyses in support of the company's IT function.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Develop financial plans utilizing business partner input and leveraging standard tools and processes to enable clear explanations for financial performance in a particular region for the IT function.
  • Maintain and enhance standard reporting including regional performance, trends, and key variances to plan, forecast, and prior period.
Accounting and Reporting
  • Perform accounting adjustments for various IT activities.
  • Develop and advocate for automation, simplification, and standardization in reporting.
Business Partnering
  • Collaborate with business partners in IT to develop financial plans, forecasts, and analyze actual performance against those goals.
  • Present and explain financial performance and key variances and changes vs. forecast, plan, and prior year.
Training and Development
  • Assist with team training efforts and help develop co-workers' FP&A skillsets and systems knowledge.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information technology, and/or business administration.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in finance/accounting with an FP&A emphasis.
  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  4. Proven business partner - results-oriented, resourceful, service-driven professional.
  5. Experience with SAP, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), and PowerBI, preferred.
  6. Knowledge of MS Office, specifically strong Excel skills.
  7. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Accepts Role Requirements
  1. Minimal travel - less than 10%.
  2. Ability to flex work schedule to accommodate business needs and working across multiple time zones.
  3. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a time-sensitive sometimes unstructured environment.
  4. Work independently with minimal supervision.
