About the Opportunity
Siemens Energy is seeking an experienced Quotation Specialist to lead the development of inspection and repair proposals for its North America shops. As a key member of the sales team, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to create comprehensive quotes that meet customer requirements and align with Siemens Energy's targets, policies, and guidelines.
Your Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate sales L2O (Lead to Order) or customers RFx (Requests for Proposal, Quotation, Information, etc.) or internal quote requests, work scopes, and associated forms and supporting documentation for inspection and overhaul jobs.
- Develop quotes by evaluating customer project requirements, identifying necessary repair work scopes, and performing benchmarking and risk analysis.
- Create technical and commercial quotes using the Siemens Energy web-based quote development tool, estimating necessary manhours.
- Ensure adherence to Siemens Energy's quote approval guidance.
- Process customer purchase orders and book projects after performing necessary reviews.
- Provide concise project handoff documentation to executing project managers.
- Maintain accurate document storage for quotes and ensure correct data management within established databases.
- Assist with and support various safety projects and initiatives within the organization.
- Contribute to driving continuous process improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Operations Management, Construction Management, Field Services, Turnkey Projects, Operations and Maintenance in the Oil and Gas and/or Power Generation industries.
- 5+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success in Repair Center and Overhaul shops and/or Quote Development in Oil and Gas and/or Power Generation industries.
- Familiarity with rotating and/or reciprocating equipment repairs (steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, gas turbines, reciprocating compressors, turbochargers, valves, dry gas seals).
- Experience leading early project phases and cost management.
- Proficiency in CRM tools like Salesforce, ERP Systems like SAP, and Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, writing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to work and lead multiple concurrent engagements simultaneously, focusing on deadlines and quality.
- Fluency in English is a must; travel visa to the US is beneficial.
