About the Role:
As a Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Tax Managers in the preparation of working papers and review documentation for addressing tax audits from the Mexican tax regulator. You will work closely with Functions and Lines of Business outside Taxes to deliver high-quality results and accurate calculations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare information to address tax audits, including internal, external, and tax authority audits.
- Participate in process optimization and working paper improvement initiatives for HSBC México, focusing on efficiencies and enhancements to reports supporting tax calculations or taxable income/tax deductions.
Key Activities:
- Ensure proper handling of tax audits, primarily from the Mexican Tax regulator, minimizing fines.
- Collaborate with Tax team Managers and other areas to provide necessary information for achieving tax compliance duties during tax audits.
- Identify potential tax risks in supporting documentation and potential tax issues affecting the HSBC group.
- Follow guidance from Tax managers to conduct tax audits accurately.
