Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Android Software Engineer to join our team. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for designing and developing elegant product features with cutting-edge technology. Your expertise will be instrumental in building a seamless user experience that meets the needs of our diverse user base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop product features to enhance the Pinterest home feed, ensuring it is intuitive, fast, and easy to use.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to create a holistic user experience.
  • Prototype new experiences to drive key metrics and improve user engagement.
  • Contribute to and lead each step of the product development process, from ideation to implementation to release.
  • Analyze and visualize data to inform product decisions and drive business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of Android development and best practices in Java or Kotlin.
  • Expertise in developing and debugging across a diverse service stack, including storage and data solutions.
  • Demonstrated track record of improving software quality with stable releases.
  • Experience on platform teams/initiatives, driving technology adoption across feature teams.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
