The Accountant Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's financial, accounting, and budgeting strategy. Key responsibilities include:

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement financial planning strategies to drive business growth.
  2. Manage risk by analyzing liabilities and investments, ensuring the organization's financial stability.
  3. Make informed investment decisions, balancing liquidity and cash risks.
  4. Monitor and evaluate fundraising plans and capital structure to optimize financial performance.
  5. Ensure adequate cash flow to support business operations.
  6. Supervise financial staff, including controllers and treasurers, to ensure seamless financial operations.
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  8. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including current and forecasted data.
  9. Establish and monitor the IT system for the finance department, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  10. Ensure adherence to local GAAP/IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.
  11. Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  12. Oversee local audits of financial statements on an annual and semi-annual basis.
  13. Monitor cash reconciliations to prevent errors and ensure proper accounting.
  14. Prepare financial statements and produce month-end financial reporting.
  15. Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and policies.
  16. Review accounting processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and simplify processes.
  17. Identify opportunities to optimize company operations and KPIs for financial and operational control.
Knowledge & Skills

Required skills and knowledge include:

  1. Exceptional analytical skills.
  2. Self-motivation, with the ability to lead and drive change initiatives.
  3. Strong organizational and time management skills, with a structural thinking approach.

Preferred qualifications and experience include:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
  • Fluency in Spanish and advanced English skills.
  • 10+ years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager.
