We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Supplier Scheduler to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and supporting the production process.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze MRP demand and replenish stocks in a timely manner.
- Place Purchase Orders (POs) on time to suppliers and feeder plants.
- Obtain confirmation dates or estimated time of arrivals (ETA) for all POs.
- Ensure accurate receipt in our ERP system (SAP).
- Attend Daily Production Meetings.
- Execute exception messages on a regular basis.
- Align with suppliers to avoid impacts on production.
- Send reports to suppliers to review status of open lines and avoid past due purchase orders.
- Communicate risks related to purchased items and shortages to Planning and Production areas.
- Evaluate and escalate issues with Global Procurement or Regional Materials through the correct channels.
- Analyze line of balances (LOB) when vendors have issues.
- Send monthly forecasts to suppliers.
- Resolve problems related to delivery, pricing, and invoicing in a timely manner.
- Monitor vendor performance and on-time delivery for Suppliers.
- Support other areas to ensure proper feedback and corrective actions are in place to improve vendor development and deliveries.
- Implement projects to reduce inventory levels, excess, and obsolete items.
- Review daily arrivals of raw materials at Customs Broker Warehouse and request them to Logistics area.
- Resolve discrepancy problems in a timely manner and collaborate with Warehouse and Logistics team to solve them.
- Respond to Invoices assigned in Maple (AP discrepancies).
- Comply with activities of Johnson Controls Manufacturing Systems.
- Participate in Safety committees and Safety Audits as required.
- Participate in Risk Assessments and ISO Audits.
- Participate in EHS observations program.
- Implement and maintain security policy, JCI behaviors, and health and environment rules.
- Participate in Training programs and comply with JCI internal trainings.
- Develop and review procedures and work instructions.
- Bachelor's Degree or 3 years' experience in purchasing/planning role.
- Direct buyer experience in a manufacturing company (metal-mechanic, refrigeration, electronic, or HVAC industry).
- Experience working with Purchasing, Planning, and Production areas.
- Fluent English.
- MRP (materials requirement planning) knowledge.
- Knowledge of SAP (preferably).
- Experience in a manufacturing planning program and production sequences.
- Leadership skills.
