Position Overview

As a Maintenance Planning Engineer, you will be tasked with the development and organization of both preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, alongside data analysis and various related responsibilities.

Team Interaction

This role requires regular engagement with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders across multiple levels within the organization, including peers, professionals, and operational staff at Molex and its suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various teams within the production sector and across Molex to enhance all manufacturing operations and meet plant objectives in a cost-effective manner.
  • Lead the preparation of the Maintenance Budget utilizing CMMS/SAP.
  • Generate monthly reports to establish and monitor costs associated with each piece of equipment and completed work orders.
  • Develop and implement scheduled preventive maintenance for plant machinery.
  • Plan and coordinate both long-term and short-term outage activities.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential manufacturing delays by overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing preventive maintenance process, including workforce, parts, equipment, and materials.
  • Balance weekly production demands with the necessity for reliability and proactive maintenance.
  • Collaborate with process management and materials planning to ensure maintenance activities do not disrupt production.
  • Utilize SAP for planning and scheduling maintenance tasks to maintain production flow.
  • Act as a SuperUser for the SAP Plant Maintenance Module.
  • Review and prioritize work orders, assessing them for planning and scheduling applications.
  • Understand and contribute to Molex's International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by adhering to established policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a focus on Maintenance.
  • Significant experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SAP maintenance systems.
  • Practical experience with plant utilities and manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with 5 Whys and Ishikawa (Fishbone diagram) methodologies.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Knowledge of statistical and engineering methods for implementing preventive and corrective measures.
  • Understanding of maintenance techniques and processes for molding and assembly machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Competent in computer applications, including spreadsheets, presentations, and word processing software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management capabilities that showcase the ability to set objectives and priorities for timely project completion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear and concise expression of complex technical concepts.
  • Effective interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.
