About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Pricing Analyst to join our team at Gates Corporation. As a Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for generating quotes for Gates manufactured Belts and Hoses and meeting profitability goals through development and execution of product pricing and profit strategies for assigned end markets and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage price changes, prototype to production requests, deductions, and accrual communications.
- Deliver quotes and maintain profitability levels.
- Collaborate with sales to develop and enact competitive pricing strategies.
- Translate and present complex data into actionable strategies to increase sales.
- Evaluate requests from customer service, marketing, sales, and engineering using an understanding of manufacturing processes and industry standards to ensure feasibility.
- Challenge inconsistencies in customer requests and recommend changes and solutions to achieve customer objectives.
About You:
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in Pricing, Sales or Marketing.
- BA/BS in Finance, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or Economics.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Fundamental understanding of business concepts, pricing concepts and financial metrics with the ability to manage complex, highly detailed projects.
- Self-motivated, capable of seeking quality solutions and continuously focusing on process improvements.
- Strong aptitude for analytical analysis.
- High level of efficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
- Capable of building relationships, can communicate effectively and contribute to a highly cross-functional team environment.
- Excellent math skills including algebra, equations, fractions, and decimals.
