The successful candidate will participate in projects involving various disciplines: engineering, cloud, networking, CI/CD, project management, monitoring, alerting, etc.
A deep understanding of Linux, networking, CI/CD, and large cluster management and automation is essential.
The Cloud Operations Engineer will provide technical and business guidance for complex user problems, design assistance to the Engineering department, and troubleshoot issues using multiple stacks (logs, database, monitoring tools, code).
The role requires strong problem-solving skills, production sensitivity to maintain/improve customer SLAs, and the ability to work in a distributed team across the globe.
Able to stay informed of new technologies, innovate, and partner with the distributed team in prototyping new platform services.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent, 3+ years of experience in Operations and/or Software Engineering supporting production enterprise systems, excellent Communication skills, and a strong customer focus.
A good understanding of Incident and Change (Agile) management processes, strong scripting and/or programming skills for automating tasks, experience with Jenkins, Dockers, Kubernetes, Git, and prior experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or equivalent are highly desirable.
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
