About the Role:
The Editorial Team Supervisor will be responsible for guiding our Editorial team, ensuring effective daily operations. This role involves supervising, managing, and inspiring team members consistently. As a leader, you will serve as the primary contact for editorial staff, necessitating excellent communication skills. Proactive measures will be essential to maintain smooth operations and foster effective collaboration. Ultimately, your leadership will set a positive example and engage the editorial team in achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Editorial Manager in organizing workflow and personnel schedules efficiently, focusing on cost, time, and accuracy.
  • Oversee team performance through regular one-on-ones, quarterly evaluations, and annual reviews, providing recognition and coaching as needed.
  • Monitor workload requirements and communicate any changes in deadlines to the team.
  • Ensure quality and coverage standards are met within the content database.
  • Address and resolve editorial discrepancies reported by clients.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance quality and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the content team to create resources, establish processes, and define best practices for research.
  • Identify new tools to support the expanding editorial group and database coverage expectations.
  • Execute integration and project activities as directed by management.
  • Coordinate training for new staff and refresh existing team skills.
  • Maintain the content operations knowledge database, ensuring all editorial documentation is current and any changes to software, processes, or standards are recorded.
  • Perform editorial tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in reading, understanding, and writing in English is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in team management.
  • Experience collaborating with global stakeholders and clients.
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver quality results within deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide insights to managers and process owners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
  • Proven capability to build consensus within teams and among diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience evaluating process performance and making recommendations for improvements.
  • This role is hybrid, requiring proximity to Nielsen's office for partial remote work.
