Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive, organized, problem solver and customer service-oriented professional to join our Procurement Unit as a Procurement Specialist: Office Supplies, Souvenirs, Events & Travel Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring office supplies, souvenirs, event materials, and travel services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure office supplies, souvenirs, event materials, and travel services in accordance with CIMMYT's procurement policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Manage procurement budgets and track expenses to ensure compliance with CIMMYT's financial policies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and develop solutions.
- Ensure compliance with CIMMYT's procurement policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as procurement, supply chain management, or business administration.
- At least 2 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
