About the Role

CitiGroup is seeking a highly skilled Data Science Group Manager to lead our Modeling Team. As a key member of our Data Science organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions to drive business growth and improve customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Modeling Team: You will be responsible for leading a team of data scientists to develop and implement machine learning models that drive business outcomes.
  • Develop Strategic Direction: You will work closely with business stakeholders to develop a strategic direction for the Modeling Team, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Manage Budget and Resources: You will be responsible for managing the team's budget and resources, ensuring that we have the necessary tools and expertise to deliver high-quality results.
  • Drive Innovation: You will be expected to drive innovation in the Modeling Team, staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, product managers, and engineers, to ensure that our data-driven solutions are aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure Compliance: You will be responsible for ensuring that our data-driven solutions comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in data & analytics: You will have a strong background in data science, with experience in building and deploying machine learning models.
  • Proven ability in model building and application experience: You will have a proven track record of building and deploying machine learning models, with experience in big data techniques and tools such as Python, R, Spark, H2o.
  • Strategic thinking and team player: You will have strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to frame business problems and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, technical and/or statistical skills: You will have excellent analytical, technical, and/or statistical skills, with the ability to translate large volumes of data into actionable insights.
Education
  • Bachelors/University degree, Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience: You will have a Bachelor's/University degree, with a Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
