Citi Commercial Banking Relationship Manager

The role of the Mid-Corp Relationship Manager at Citi is a challenging and developing opportunity. It involves handling complex problems independently and requires in-depth specialty area knowledge combined with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Deepen relationships with clients, proactively addressing their needs, roadblocks, or risks, and leveraging internal resources to assist where necessary.
Resolve issues with clients' portfolios to enhance complete satisfaction.
Collaborate with senior RMs to leverage the expertise and capabilities of other Citi businesses to achieve mutual business goals.
Identify cross-sell opportunities to deepen and increase share of wallet.
Drive innovation in solutions provided to clients and develop the business further where necessary and appropriate.
Identify and pursue new clients aligned with Citi Commercial Bank's value proposition.
Stay connected with influencers, industry associations, thought leaders, and senior business contacts to expand industry knowledge and deepen Citi Commercial Bank's relationships.
Ensure deals are structured to balance risk and reward, aligning teams' incentives with acting in the clients' interests.
Actively protect Citi's assets and reputation by serving as the first line of defense from a credit risk management perspective.
Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies and guidelines at all times.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience.
- Good understanding and knowledge of commercial banking products and processes.
- Demonstrate intermediate knowledge of credit skills and Early Warning Detection.
- Demonstrate intermediate understanding of accounting principles, financial modeling, and financial statement analysis.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Proven leadership ability with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Communicate views with clarity and confidence.
- Maintain contact with key stakeholders to proactively seek input as appropriate.
- Detail-oriented with demonstrated organizational skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Passion for creating new business opportunities with existing clients and able to demonstrate innovative approaches to meeting clients' needs.
- Ability to embrace new technology and understand the role digital plays in the experience delivered to clients.
- Positive mindset with a 'can-do' attitude, willingness to go the extra mile for providing sound advice and effective services to clients.
- Able to anticipate client requests/needs and resolve queries in a timely manner, leveraging internal resources.
- Must have a sharp business development focus and demonstrative innovative approaches.
- Demonstrate professionalism by being reliable, actively contributing in meetings, asking questions, and challenging ideas.
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
