Senior IT Asset Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Asset Manager to join our team at Baxter. As a key member of our IT Vendor Management Office, you will be responsible for managing functions including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing vendor performance and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IT asset lifecycle management strategies and processes.
- Analyze asset usage and performance to identify opportunities for optimization and cost saving, partnering with system owners to implement.
- Manage asset management improvement opportunities.
- Track and analyze the company's IT assets to ensure they're used efficiently and are compliant with software licenses.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure IT assets are accurately inventoried.
- Work closely with the IT department to understand technology needs and assets.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of IT assets.
- Manage the disposal and replacement of obsolete or redundant IT assets.
- Provide regular reports on asset performance, cost, and lifecycle status.
- Provide asset and license management at a minimum for Mobility, Print, Software, Servers, and PCs.
- Manage vendor audits.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices in IT asset management.
- Maintain reports and dashboards for visibility into IT vendor performance and compliance.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of asset management policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, business, or related field. Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related is desirable.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT asset management or related role.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of IT hardware, software, and licenses.
- Strong knowledge of vendor management and contract negotiation principles.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with IT asset management tools and software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of IT asset management best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong technical skills, with the ability to understand and work with various IT systems and tools.
- Experience with IT vendor management tools and technologies, such as IT vendor management software, inventory management systems, and license management systems.
- ITIL, including CMDB, or other relevant certifications.
