About the Role:
As a Solutions Architect at Backbase Inc., you will be the face of our expertise in banking technology, interfacing with C-level executives and technology leaders from prospective banks. Your goal will be to help them see the path to success using our industry-leading software in combination with their core systems and the rich landscape of Fintech offerings available to financial institutions.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into technical designs, ensuring security, deployment, performance, caching, sizing, scalability, and serviceability.
- Lead technical workshops with prospects, customers, partners, and in board-level sales presentations, discussing highly specific technical details and general business outcomes.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure successful implementation, providing guidance and oversight to ensure projects are delivered according to briefing, time, and budget.
- Create technical architecture documentation, work with the QA lead to define the test strategy, and lead DevOps to define and implement CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure that implementations meet non-functional requirements.
Your Ideal Profile:
- Extensive knowledge of the Java platform, with experience in Spring, Maven, and Jenkins.
- At least 5 years of experience working with banking companies and projects.
- Demonstrable understanding of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Micro-Services Architecture.
- Professionally worked at least 5 years with Banking, Enterprise Integration Patterns, and Frameworks.
- Broad, operational knowledge of application servers, databases, load balancers, and other infrastructure components required to deploy web applications in a highly available and scalable environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Spanish.
