We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Accountant to join our team at Freudenberg. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading the management of our standard cost system, reporting manufacturing costs and variances, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the management of the standard cost system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and implement operational accounting best practices to improve financial performance.
- Lead the reporting and management of inventory, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Support Operations and Commercial teams in costing-related analysis and decision-making.
- Assist in the monthly close and reporting process, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in the annual audit process, ensuring accurate and complete financial reporting.
- Perform profitability analysis by business division, identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop proficiency in SAP to become a site system leader, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or equivalent required.
- CPA or CMA designation preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Proficiency in computer and related software programs (SAP, Oracle, MS Office tools).
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Accounting or Finance in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in participating and/or managing multiple on-going projects individually or with other team members.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative and motivation.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High level of commitment, creativity, teamwork, and good assertiveness.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to form strong working relationships and communicate well with team members at all organizational levels.
- Hands-on attitude.
