About the Role

AVI-SPL México is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will work in partnership with our Global Helpdesk to provide service support for customers at on-site locations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of AV equipment.
  2. Perform preventative maintenance visits to maintain a stable client-based system and ensure optimal performance.
  3. Clean and maintain various AV equipment, including camera lenses, monitors, and equipment fans.
  4. Accurately complete job documentation and provide necessary training and support for next-level service technicians.
  5. Field installation of control programs, including AMX, Crestron, and firmware, and provide end-user client training as needed.
  6. Provide service support for networked devices, including routers and IP protocols.
  7. Perform service tasks in a timely and quality-conscious manner, including cable pulling, connector installation, projector mounting, and ceiling mount installation.
  8. Adhere to and understand OSHA standards for all phases of the job.
  9. Setup and troubleshoot various video codecs and video teleconferencing systems.
  10. Travel to various job sites as required.

Requirements

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in AV equipment installation and maintenance.
  3. Strong knowledge of electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
  4. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
  5. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions

This position will generally work on customer sites and may deal with a construction site type of work environment. AVI-SPL México reserves the right to alter work hours and work location as necessary.
