Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Control Senior Analyst to join our team at Goodyear. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for performing cost accounting closing, inventory and budget control, and supporting the warehouse in cost matters.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare the reconciliation accounts, analyze differences, and add support documentation in accordance with company policies.
  • Register journal entries during the month and in the month-end closing process.
  • Prepare the month-end closing activities to transmit accurate financials in accordance with the Regional and Corporate deadlines.
  • Prepare the Final Cost determination.
  • Provide support to all areas of the company, giving the information required in a timely manner.
  • Prepare information and analysis requested by internal and external auditors.
  • Prepare other information and analysis for special projects and cost studies based on business decisions.
  • Prepare Standard Cost calculation, Cost Reports, Manufacturing Indicators, control Plant Budgets, ensure proper Cost allocation to the material, support Physical Inventory process, and other cost-related activities.
  • Prepare Cost Estimates and Annual Operation Plan (AOP).
  • Build organizational capability for innovation through training and other avenues.
  • Continuously promote changes and innovative improvements on process, systems, and business concepts to deliver profitable and sustainable growth opportunities to Goodyear.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree with a concentration in a business-related field (i.e., Accounting, Finance, Economics, etc.).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Finance/Accounting.
  • Experience working with multi-national corporations.
  • Knowledge of both local (IFRS) and US GAAP accounting rules.
  • Desired experience: export, Incoterms knowledge, logistics providers, shipping companies, and customs agency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Industrial Process (Plant).
  • Knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in SAP.

Key Skills and Abilities

  • Track record of achieving measurable business objectives through understanding of local GAAP/IFRS and U.S. GAAP, accounting for complex transactions and internal controls in compliance with SOX.
  • Strong knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in relevant systems (i.e., ERP system (SAP preferred), MS Office products) as applicable to the country.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to understand complex data and issues and proactively develop solutions.
  • Consulting skills, including the ability to draw on the ideas of key team members and convert them into meaningful plans.
  • Interpersonal skills that establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly. Creates team atmosphere while achieving key objectives.
  • Demonstrates understanding of how key accounting decisions impact the business units and forecasted operating results/cash flows.
  • Intermediate in English (read and written).
