About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Digital Campaign Strategist to join our team at the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Initiative. As a key member of our global team, you will play a critical role in scaling mass public engagement and mobilization of citizens calling for a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty around the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute a Digital Campaign Strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive digital campaign strategy to mobilize hundreds of thousands of people globally to advocate for negotiation of a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty.
  • Scale Domestic and Regional Digital Campaigns: Collaborate with Regional Teams, partners, and our network of allies to scale domestic and regional digital campaigns in target countries, including managing translation of digital tools and communications.
  • Identify and Launch Creative Digital Advocacy Tactics: Develop and launch innovative digital advocacy tactics to influence key decision-makers and build further political support for the Fossil Fuel Treaty.
  • Optimize Digital Tools and Platforms: Work with the Communications Team and Tech Manager to optimize our website, CRM, and all digital tools to provide a seamless user experience for individuals to join the Treaty campaign.
  • Support Virtual Engagement: Support virtual engagement in major moments and events, expanding our engagement to be more global around major UN Conferences and political meetings.
  • Develop and Maintain Digital Advocacy Tools: Develop and maintain a suite of digital advocacy tools that can support individuals to go beyond endorsing the campaign to advocating for policymakers to support the Treaty proposal.
  • Scale Digital Fundraising Program: Collaborate with the Development Director to scale a new digital fundraising program, including acquisition and retention of recurring donors supporting our work.
  • Support Data Analysis: Support data analysis of digital campaign quantitative performance to help further increase our impact.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Deep Passion for Climate Justice: A deep passion for climate justice and supporting an equitable transition to a world without coal, oil, or gas.
  • Digital Fundraising Experience: Experience in digital fundraising, including donor acquisition and retention.
  • Commitment to Inclusive Culture: Commitment to contributing to an anti-racist, inclusive organizational culture.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, strong initiative, and motivation.
  • Fluency in English: Fluency in English is required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Fluency in Additional Languages: Fluency in Spanish, French, Portuguese, Arabic, and other languages is highly desired.
  • CRM Management Experience: Experience in CRM management, including list acquisition and engagement.
  • Web Development Experience: Experience in web development, including fluency in HTML and CSS.
  • Digital Advocacy Tool Development: Experience in maintaining and developing digital advocacy tools, including through platforms such as DoGooder.
  • Graphic Design Skills: Graphic design skills, including with Canva.
  • Experience in Global South: Experience working in the Global South.
