As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing truck and trailer spare parts purchases, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring efficient inventory management.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory Management: Oversee the optimal stock of spare parts and materials in the shop, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing costs.
- Vendor Coordination: Communicate with vendors to ensure specific requirements are met, coordinate payment methods, and track resolution time frames.
- Work Order Management: Manage all work orders, ensuring all charges are added, including mechanic labor hours and utilized parts.
- Quality Inspections: Conduct quality inspections of equipment to ensure adherence to government rules and regulations.
- Reporting and Analysis: Review expense reports from mechanics and forward them to the Maintenance department for approval, and develop and evaluate supplier quality metrics.
- Language Skills: English is a must, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience managing truck and trailer spare parts purchases with mechanical knowledge preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the land transportation industry, with comprehensive knowledge of Ministry regulations and shop management practices.
- Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, with intermediate abilities in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
