Position Overview

As a Reliability Operations Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering expert technical support and operational capabilities for the design, testing, delivery, and maintenance of production services within the technical operations framework.
  • Ensuring consistency in technical procedures within a team dedicated to the implementation and support of systems, products, and networks.
  • Participating in initiatives aimed at reducing incident rates and collaborating with frontline operations to enhance service recovery times.
  • Following established implementation processes to guarantee that all operability aspects are met while maintaining or improving existing service levels.
  • Contributing to the establishment of operational standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Working closely with various operational, project, development, and product teams to ensure sustained service delivery and support.
  • Development and Delivery: Utilizing modern operational and development practices, you will engage in comprehensive operational support, monitoring, automation, and the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Engaging in a collaborative environment, you will share insights, value diverse perspectives, and partner with cross-functional teams.
  • Agility: With a strong sense of urgency, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering solutions within strict timelines.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with at least one AWS certification (preferably AWS SysOps Administrator).
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps Engineer within the AWS Cloud environment.
  • The ability to operate independently with minimal guidance from senior engineers.
  • High proficiency in automation, system monitoring, and cloud-native applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
  • A commitment to maintaining high uptime levels, including server patching and SSL certificate management.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues using key performance indicators and advanced engineering practices.
  • Documentation skills for application services, infrastructure details, recovery procedures, and root cause analysis.
  • Proactive monitoring capabilities for service availability, latency, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Willingness to participate in periodic on-call duties as part of the SRE team.
  • Experience with SQL, Windows Servers, load balancers, Linux, and AWS services, including Docker, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure components such as routers, load balancers, and cloud products.
  • Experience with tools like Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub, PagerDuty, ServiceNow, and Datadog.
