Amdocs is seeking a highly skilled Database Specialist to join our team. As a Database Specialist, you will be responsible for providing database administration services to support the end-to-end life cycle of our products from a database perspective.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide database problem-solving services to stakeholders during project lifecycle, including development, post-production, and implementation.
- Offer professional guidance and coaching to project management, development teams, and customer architects.
- Design, develop, configure, and administer large and critical database systems to ensure high performance.
- Lead and define tuning database parameters, promote standardization, and develop strategies for database working processes.
- Serve as an authority in Amdocs, demonstrating expertise in database areas and defining database vision and strategy.
- Provide technical escalations for critical incidents in production customer systems with direct business impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience in Oracle DBA (11g, 12c, 19c).
- 4+ years of experience in OS (Solaris, Linux, AIX, HP-UX).
- Significant experience in RDBMS and supporting non-production/production Oracle environments.
- Excellent communication and analytical problem-solving skills.
