About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Opex Engineer to join our team at Phillips-Medisize. As an Opex Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing a Lean Manufacturing culture free of MUDAS (Material, Unnecessary Motion, Defects, Inventory, and Skills) throughout the organization.

About the Team

The Operational Excellence team, or OpEx team for short, is responsible for helping all employees participate in the management and enhancement of processes to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost outcomes. Our team uses work processes and change management skills to speed up the realization of sustainable improvement plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a Lean Manufacturing culture free of MUDAS.
  • Train direct and technical staff on Lean principles and practices.
  • Participate in events, training, and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams at the corporate level to drive process improvements.
  • Participate in Gemba walks on the manufacturing floor to identify areas for improvement.
  • Execute the 5S methodology and perform balancing activities.

Requirements

  • Recently graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficient in Excel and Macros.
  • Advanced English language skills.
  • General knowledge of Continuous Improvement, Lean, and/or basic statistics.
  • Knowledge of 6 Sigma principles.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
