We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team at Amazon Web Services Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. as a Professional Services Expert. As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for collaborating with our customers and partners on key engagements, developing, delivering, and implementing data analytics projects that help our customers leverage their data to develop business insights.
Key Responsibilities- Delivery: Help the customer to define and implement data architectures (Data Lake, Lake House, Data Mesh, etc). Engagements include short on-site projects proving the use of AWS Data services to support new distributed computing solutions that often span private cloud and public cloud services.
- Solutions: Deliver on-site technical assessments with partners and customers. This includes participating in pre-sales visits, understanding customer requirements, creating packaged Data & Analytics service offerings.
- Innovate: Engaging with the customer's business and technology stakeholders to create a compelling vision of a data-driven enterprise in their environment. Create new artifacts that promote code reuse.
- Expertise: Collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training, and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services such as Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Amazon EMR, and Amazon Redshift.
- Leadership: Lead data architecture and data engineering teams to deliver project implementations successfully.
This is a customer-facing role, and you may be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed, up to 50%.

Minimum Requirements- 7+ years of technical specialist, design, and architecture experience and experience of consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience;
- 5+ years of database (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) experience and software development with object-oriented language experience;
- 3+ years of cloud-based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network, and operating system experience;
- 7+ years of external or internal customer-facing, complex, and large-scale project management experience;
- Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience;
- 5+ years in experience with Teradata systems.
