About this role

Schneider Electric is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Sourcing Leader to join our team in Apodaca, Mexico. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our purchasing strategy and driving cost reduction initiatives.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cost reduction projects, proposing innovative ideas and solutions that align with our purchasing strategy goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing databases, ensuring the quality and integrity of our data.
  • Support commodity management, collaborating with suppliers to negotiate and manage contracts that meet our business needs.
  • Contribute to the development of our supply qualification system, ensuring consistency and compliance with our responsibility matrix.
  • Support business continuity initiatives, mitigating supplier risks and developing our supplier base for the future.
Requirements
  • University or college degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Purchasing, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Engineering and Manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel and database management skills.
