We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Vertiv Group Corp. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our HVAC products.
Responsibilities- Design and develop electrical schematics and network connection drawings
- Review and approve electric panel layouts to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards
- Develop and revise wire harnesses to meet product requirements
- Collaborate with the software team to develop and verify CRAC system controls
- Work with development scientists to validate setup of new electrical customizations
- Participate in identifying cost reduction opportunities and implementing product changes to solve field issues
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in an electrical engineering field
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a dynamic team
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Proficient in 3D CAD software, preferably CREO 4.0 and greater
- Knowledge of NEC (NFPA79), IEEE 519, and UL 508A SB
- Preferred 4-8 years of experience in an HVAC related electrical engineering field
- Experience with PLM systems (BOM management and change order release)
- Knowledge of UL or equivalent CSA/UL standards
- Understanding of electrical schematic layout and creation
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an accredited college or university
Physical and Environmental Demands- Light lifting (5-25 lbs)
- Frequent standing, kneeling, crawling, and bending
- Protective equipment required (earplugs, gloves, eyewear, cut-resistant sleeves)
