Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Specialist Engineer to join our team at John Deere. As a key member of our Supply Chain organization, you will be responsible for managing the entire packaging process, from design to delivery, to ensure seamless logistics and customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement continuous packaging solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage and deliver projects related to global logistics processes and activities, aligning technology, order fulfillment, supply management, and global sourcing strategies.
- Ensure compliance with export/import restrictions, packaging and labeling guidelines, and maintain and update packaging standards as necessary.
- Negotiate and manage enterprise contracts with major third-party suppliers of packaging goods and services to leverage enterprise volumes and achieve cost levels that provide a competitive advantage.
- Provide project management for design and acquisition of all returnable packaging to support new product introductions and existing products.
Requirements
- Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of unit processes and operations.
- Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Understanding of Order Fulfillment Process.
