Job Summary

Citi is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Credit Valuation Specialist to join our Special Assets Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing detailed analysis on corporate valuations and restructuring scenarios, working closely with Business, Risk, and Legal teams to achieve the most favorable outcome for the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive corporate valuation and restructuring analysis for stressed and distressed assets, including determination of write-off, reserve, and risk of loss amounts.
  • Take ownership of designated projects, including major reports and portfolio reviews.
  • Mentor analysts and associates within the team.
  • Assess liquidity, debt capacity, and financial performance to evaluate areas of weakness and potential for turnaround.
  • Model companies' financial position to determine appropriate debt structure and accurate debt value.
  • Track ongoing performance of classified credits and report to senior credit and business management.
  • Prepare quarterly classification documents with detailed financial and credit analyses.
  • Collaborate with other SA colleagues to remain coordinated on the restructuring/valuation process.
  • Liaise with internal business and product areas, as well as external fund managers, advisors, and consultants to develop deeper industry expertise.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of corporate valuation methodologies, including DCF and multiple-based approaches.
  • Excellent knowledge of credit assessment techniques and policies.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate financial statements and business plans across various industrial sectors.
  • Understanding of corporate and debt structuring, including bank loan documentation.
  • Strong credit analysis and corporate financial modeling skills, including a range of valuation techniques.
  • Knowledge of Citi's Credit Policy and Remedial approach.
  • Risk assessment and quantitative analysis experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High energy levels, ability to multitask, and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience with strong GPA.
  • Minimum 5 years of Corporate or Investment Banking and/or Risk Management experience.
Language and Culture

Fully fluent in English.
